Writing my album thank yous and I’m realizing I need novel sized liners to fit all the gratitude I have towards everyone involved with The Soft Glow of Electric Sex! I’m SO blessed to have such brilliant minds and creative hearts be a part of this project! It’s astounding how generous people were with their talents! I love and appreciate you all so much!

despite my extremely positive nature, sometimes i feel like i’m swimming up-stream… going against the currents to get to where i want to be… and one of these moments was yesterday when not 1 but 3 of my band members (who i consider like family) had to cancel for our gig next friday because of other opportunities… its disappointing u know… i was thinking why can’t i be a superstar already and afford to keep “my family” close! lol! but it is what it is… i realized that loyalty lies with what you are able to provide financially for your musicians as well as creatively and opportunistically… this disappointment compiled with many other stresses (which i won’t focus on) triggered a mini melt down of sadness… but i decided to flip the script… because i KNOW that OUR PERSPECTIVE IS OUR FREEDOM! and that by forming almost a completely new band for this show i can learn and grow… feel the songs in different ways… and extend the family 
(and the extended family i must say is fucking exquisite as well!) so i encourage u when you are going through something difficult, feeling like ur swimming up-stream… find ways to flip the script! because your perspective is your freedom in this life. love and blessings to u!
how do u see your situation?
today I noticed that the word UNITY is in the word community which brought me to deeper contemplation of community… community is truly us coming together as one…and though human beings are very individualistic we cannot deny how interdependent we are…. and we have to honor the power of commUNITY! i’ve been experiencing the benefits of commUNITY more and more as my awareness has grown in commUNITY… a few weeks ago I shared my first Shabbat dinner with some friends and saw how beautifully tight the Jewish community is- and how coming together for tradition and spirituality really strengthens them as a people. also, without my artistic community, I would not have been able to have such an incredible album- the brilliant musicians that played on M.U.S.I.C. play for world famous artists and shared their talents because they are part of my community! what a blessing to have a community! the super genius creative web designer for M.U.S.I.C., Josh Kohlmeier- part of the community… the phenomenal photo shoot by Piper Ferguson (who has done shoots for superstars) took the time to do a shoot with little ol’ me- cause she’s part of the community… the psychedelic goddess album art was created by Jon Marro all because he’s part of the community… I didn’t always have a community…I knew that I wanted to connect with like minded artists- artists about uplifting and inspiring others through their medium… artists that were positive, supportive, creative, loving… and thus I put that intention out into the universe. Oooh UNIverse (another word that speaks that we are one (one=uni))… I created a manifestation group with my girls (more on that later) to have a positive female force where we share our dreams/hopes/challenges/ideas and help each other in so many ways… commUNITY is a beautiful thing! if you don’t feel you have a community find one or better yet create one! as amazing as we are as individuals- together as a collective we are POWERFUL! ONE LOVE!

I am beyond happy to say that my debut album M.U.S.I.C. (Magnificent Unique Sexy Intelligent Creativity) is about to come forth into the world!!! We are officially finished tracking! The musicians on the album are f!*$ing phenomenal! I’m incredibly blessed that they added their brilliance to our project. Dre (the co-writer to my dreams) is starting to mix the album next week! The album will then be mastered and pressed and released in early July!!!! Aaahhhhhhh I’m so excited that I’m going to burst musical deliciousness all over this post (and all over your ears soon)!!!!
