i can’t make you love me

when i was little i remember my parents didn’t communicate their feelings to each other in the most healthy of ways… but they would communicate consciously or subconsciously through music. i remember my dad playing don henley’s “the heart of the matter” and mom playing this song for my dad… bonnie raitt’s “i can’t make you love me.” this song still kills me. so beautiful. i love how music sometimes allows us say what we aren’t able to say.
